In 1880, Joseph Drouhin settled in Beaune and established a Domaine for the Drouhin house by buying land in outstanding appellations including the famous Clos des Mouches and Clos de
Vougeot. Today, 4th generation Véronique Drouhin continues the family’s prestigious Burgundy legacy. With 73 hectares of biodynamically-farmed vines, Joseph Drouhin is one of Burgundy’s largest estates.
With vineyards in close to 90 different appellations, Drouhin offers a fascinating array of Burgundy terroirs. 2022 offered good maturity and particularly aromatic white wines. Citrus and ripe fruit mingle with delicate floral fragrances, accompanied by slightly spicy pastry notes. The palate, tender and fleshy, is textured and endowed with a pleasant roundness and a rich aftertaste. The wines of this vintage are well-balanced and show excellent ageing potential.
