A classic, Cabernet-driven Bordeaux First Growth from Pauillac, being the ultimate crown jewel of Bordeaux’s Médoc peninsula, widely regarded as the most prestigious red wine appellation in the world. Out of only five First Growth (Premier Cru) châteaux in the entire Bordeaux region, Pauillac is home to three, one of which is Château Mouton Rothschild.
The 2021 Mouton Rothschild is a blend composed of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, and 1% Cabernet Franc, matured in 100% new oak barrels. A captivating purple-black hue, classic aromas of warm cassis, pencil shavings, and ripe black plums, complemented by delicate notes of lavender, cracked black pepper, and crushed rocks. On the palate, it is tightly wound with layers of black fruits and subtle mineral accents, beautifully framed by fine-grained tannins and a delightful sense of freshness.
