Description
The 2015 Champagne Grande Sendrée pours a bright, light yellow colour and offers notes of frangipane, orange, ripe peaches, custard, and citrus. A more toasty and rounded feel with a hint of oak also comes through, but it’s not an oaky wine.
The mousse is pillowy and creamy, driving through the wine with no harsh edges. It’s a benchmark wine in the range and beautifully done in this warm vintage.
Composed of 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay, disgorged in October 2024, the same winemaking approach was used on this wine as has been used since 1836:
60% oak, 3-4 grams per litre dosage, low sulphite, and no filtration.
